Description
The work is 2 small conjoined panels which can be hung either vertically or horizontally. The piece was inspired by a solo visit to Great Blasket island off the west coast of Ireland. The vivid colours in the spring sunshine, golden sands, turquoise sea and azure sky shone against the background of seabirds calling and waves crashing on the rocks. The island is uninhabited and at the visit I was alone there. The intensity of the experience is reflected in the turbulent brushstrokes and bright colour.
